The Genesis of God is King Ministry
“Winning more souls for Christ. Depopulate hell while populating heaven”
The Genesis of God is King Ministry
The God Is King Ministry was founded by Prophet Nditsheni John Mudau on 5 June 2010 in Alexandra, Johannesburg. Prior to official commencement of the Ministry, the Prophet prayed for people in their households, literally moving from one house to the next offering prayer, healing and deliverance after working hours and over weekends.
Prophet Mudau then started an all-night prayer Group with 8 other people; namely Nyadzani Tshakafa, Sydney Nange, Londani Tshakafa, Emmanuel Nyadzani, Lufuno Matangari, Thabelo Matangari, Ntsieni Tshakafa and Martha Rasiluma . They held their first night vigil at Melchizedek Church at a place called Dzifemeni, Marlboro, Alexandra Township. It was on this very first night when the prophet delivered a prophecy about the ministry and these were his words; “this work that we are starting here will grow and move to schools and as there will be no schools with enough facilities to accommodate us, it will move to Halls and thereafter to stadiums.”
The prayer services eventually grew in leaps and bounds attracting huge following from members of Apostolic, Zionists and charismatic churches around Gauteng Province due to the healing and deliverance that it offered to attendants. This state of growth necessitated regular gatherings as the demand for healing and deliverance increased with each prayer service as the Holy Spirit took control of all the proceedings. This resulted in the establishment of a monthly prayer services that became known as Alexandra All Night Prayer.
During these monthly services, the prophecy delivered on the first prayer day of 8 people started to manifest. In this regard, the prayer services attendance grew so much that Dzifemeni could no longer accommodate congregants and it moved to various schools in East Bank, Alexandra. After a few services, the schools’ halls became too small and as per the Prophecy, a second layer of the prophecy was reached when the prayer service eventually moved to a bigger hall at the Central Johannesburg College, in Alexandra in 2014.
The Ministry was officially named God Is King Ministry on 13 January 2018 during a retreat to Atteridgeville, Pretoria. The name of the Ministry was derived from a revelation that GOD made to the Prophet at an early age when he was shown a scripture in the book of Isaiah 43:15-21. Before naming his Ministry, the Prophet commonly used the words as an expression when counseling people who had received deliverance and healing that they need not be anxious because God is King and will help them maintain the deliverance. The ministry motto is “Ministry Of All Churches, All Nations And The World” and is derived from the book of Galatians 5:6, “For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love”. Thus, deliverance is for everyone and as such does not discriminate based on elements such as background, conduct, race, gender or belief.
Initially, the services were held around Gauteng province only. However, as the ministry has been growing, services also extended to other Provinces such as Limpopo and Mpumalanga. During these services, congregants witness the power of God manifesting through the Prophet.
When the ministry started, it only had the organizing team which was mainly responsible for organizing services and developing the program. However, as the ministry grew, the Prophet identified a need for a proper structure to administer the day to day activities of the ministry. He then established an executive committee comprising of departments such as Office of the prophet which is made of the Armour bearer and an advisor, Project management, Event management, Media and communication and the Children’s ministry.
The ministry has shown tremendous improvement in terms of its social responsibility functions as it looks after the needy. Its community outreach program that entails visiting the homes of the needy as well as donating clothes and school uniform to communities in Limpopo has certainly flown its flag high. To date, several orphanages have been visited whilst school kids from Ha-Mpofu village have received uniforms and food parcels. Other projects entailed dispensing sanitary towels at various schools in the Vhembe region.
Our services have over the years attracted many members of the public and those who are traditionally not from apostolic churches. The healing and deliverance that the prophet has delivered through the ministry has not gone unnoticed as he is often invited to other churches, especially during their prayer services. This braces the ministry’s maxim, which pronounces the ministry as the “Ministry of All churches, All Nations and the World”.
